Performs safe operations of concrete block production with focus on quality block product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
Operate all pertinent equipment for the manufacture of Concrete Masonry and Retaining wall products.
Perform mold changes and machine setups. Inspect appearance of product. Remove bad product from production as needed assuring good production quality.
Assist in the maintenance of pertinent block plant equipment.
Assist in maintaining inventory of materials needed for the production of masonry and retaining wall products.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Operate and observe machines while running; make adjustments as needed.
Operate lift truck as needed.
Monitor the loading and curing process for the kiln.
Assure safety devices are in use and in proper working order.
Perform job according to safety / environmental rules and regulations.
Keep the plant area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

Qualifications / Experience and Education
reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
The employee is required to climb stairs and ladders, working at an elevation.
The employee must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Must have agility to maintain balance on and around equipment.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly working inside in a heavy industrial production environment exposed to hot or cold.
Work in a moderate amount of non-hazardous dust daily.
Must wear any protective clothing and devices as required by the company safety policies relating to the assignment being performed.
The employee is regularly working with equipment and exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
Must be able to work extended shifts as needed.
This is a non-smoking / vaping / chewing tobacco campus.
