As a Pricing Strategy Manager at Travelport, you can thrive in the exciting world of Travel Tech.

Role & Team

You will come on board at a truly exciting time, and as a member of the Product Propositions team you will play a pivotal and crucial part in being instrumental in defining demand customer product pricing strategies ensuring the company delivers on those strategies, and identifying and executing tactical pricing actions to drive short-

term benefit and resolve specific issues.

Reporting to the Head of Proposition Design and Product Marketing, this role will be Global in scope, working across the demand product portfolio, and collaborating closely with the Product, Propositions, Product Marketing, Sales and Finance functions.

This dynamic position will involve

  • Developing pricing strategies, policies and guidelines to guide the organisation in pricing decision-making
  • Successfully influencing and managing internal relationships to implement pricing proposals together with product management
  • Developing reports and scorecards to track the performance of pricing across the group
  • Conduct financial and pricing information analysis and research to help steer key Group business decisions - from high level pricing strategy to specific product pricing
  • Develop robust, complex and flexible financial models to illustrate price performance and areas for price and margin improvement, taking into account strategic priorities
  • Establish tools and methodologies to capture customer value of new products
  • See opportunities for tactical pricing initiatives, and work across the organisation to implement those initiatives
  • Support Product Marketing and Product teams with reporting and analysis of financial performance, investigation of variances and recommendation on areas that require further analysis for their respective portfolios
  • Work with Sales Operations and Business Intelligence areas on continuously enhancing our pricing and revenue
  • Support Product and Propositions teams understand the profitability and implications of pricing decisions through provision of analytical support to ensure commercial decisions taken are in line with the business plan

  • You;
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Understanding of key pricing concepts, and how pricing drives value within organizations
  • Strong commercial orientation : constant focus on how analysis drives decisions that result in measurable business value
  • Experience of working in a strategy, pricing, revenue management or quantitative marketing role
  • Ability quickly structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings to senior management
  • Dedicated and tenacious able to work independently and creatively to overcome hurdles and barriers
  • Experience with MS Access and data warehouse query tools such as Cognos would be an advantage
  • Both the company and industry context is complex, ambiguous and undergoing rapid change, You will need to be comfortable with this kind of environment, and be prepared to adapt quickly
