About the team

The Portfolio management function serves as the arbiter of capital investment across the organisation and coordinates the end to end lifecycle of product investments.

Portfolio managers will organize and execute on many levels within the business to see the portfolio is successful in delivery of desired outcomes.

They will maintain an overall view and understanding of the Portfolio and its relationship with strategy to inform prioritization and approval decision-making

What you will be doing

  • Provide support and are the primary portfolio contact for Product, Delivery and Engineering across your respective portfolio
  • Transformation of the Banking Payments product and engineering groups, folding into FIS Portfolio function and ways of working
  • Manage Capital allocations per portfolio grouping
  • Conduct portfolio trade-offs and facilitates capital recourse discussions
  • Manage the Portfolio backlog intake process to ensure that ideas for product innovations are scoped, sized and resourced
  • Assist with resource / capacity planning across domains, proposing creative solutions to any constraints
  • Act as an advisor to product providing input into wider product strategy
  • Conduct ongoing spend analysis to ensure that we remain within a small tolerance of our capital budget
  • Assist with product and business strategy and direction, from concept to delivery
  • What you bring :

  • Group leadership providing mentorship both internal and external to portfolio organization
  • Understanding of wider FIS product set and how it ties with business objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Financial acuity, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Agile development principles and processes
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills (including the ability to manipulate data in Excel)
  • Added bonus if you have :

  • Detailed knowledge of Banking Payments
  • Previous experience of working within a Financial Services organisation
