Role Overview and Responsibilities

Business Development Manager Europe

  • Reporting to the Business Development Director you will drive the growth of the business across all existing and target accounts, with accountability for the engagement and management of new and existing accounts in line with the overall sales strategy and business plan and for ensuring increased sales through increased and reliable engagements;
  • effective deployment of the Revenue Storm and Salesforce tools will be a key enabler and requirement.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and building effective customer relationships
  • Positioning TT’s services and capabilities including existing and new products / technologies. Principle focus is on growth and the creation of customer value;
  • develop individual sales / customer specific growth strategies & action plans in line with the agreed strategies and sales targets;
  • engaging customers at all functions as appropriate through on individual visits and all available forms of communication, etc.

  • Supporting the compilation of market intelligence within market segment and country, both generic and customer specific through visits to exhibitions / seminars and Voice of the customer meetings.
  • There is an ongoing requirement to analyze future trends and identify new opportunities for product / systems / market development

  • Continually positioning revised technical solutions and product-based sales propositions, which retain and grow customer value.
  • In conjunction with your customers, setting forecast in support of sales budgets and targets, monitoring customer revenue attainment to forecasts on a regular basis.
  • Maintaining a funnel of opportunity that enables your individual sales targets to be achieved regardless of natural losses by consideration to conversion rate and required funnel size.
  • Undertaking personal sales and key account management activities;
  • Lead customer issues and drive swift resolution working effectively with the operational and product engineering teams.
  • Personally conducting presentations to key customers, as well as supporting TT electronics presence at electronics shows, exhibitions or other industry events
  • Utilise the global CRM and project management systems to manage your NBO pipeline and to ensure bids are managed through the gated process.
  • Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

    Core Requirements

    We are looking for an experienced sales professional within the electronics space with significant experience managing customer accounts and developing new customer opportunities.

    It would be an advantage if you have gained this experience within the Aerospace and Defence market.

    An output and deliverable driven individual you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of growth and developing new customer accounts.

    You will have experience in component level and product level (Assembly) Technical & Value Proposition selling and execution.

    Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations

    Ability to engage customers in understanding of market drivers solved by TT solutions.

    Familiar with distributor / channel management and have the technical ability to understand application areas

    Has demonstrated ability to close deals and develop on the initial engagement to the status of a partner of choice.

    Commercially astute, with well-developed and demonstrable knowledge of the dynamics of the Aerospace and Defence markets
