This is a fantastic opportunity to join Life Financial Services as a Financial Services Regional Director, you will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing a team of Mortgage Advisers with all levels of experience, providing an effective and efficient mortgage advisory service to customers in line with company policies, procedures, directives and statutory rules and regulations.

Initially you will be expected to write business to demonstrate the skills required to your growing team, as your team grows your own targets will reduce to zero.

As a Financial Services Area Manager, you will need to :

  • Inspire your team to generate FS first appointments by running leagues, incentives and competitions across the network, furthermore to exhibit the required behaviour required to inspire staff to deliver first appointments
  • Drive FS sales activity from LIFE FS advisers, in particular through one-to-one performance review meetings, generation of team league tables, positive success PR and personal contact
  • Provide FS related training to all relevant Life FS advisers in appointment maximisation with particular emphasis on getting new starters up and running quickly
  • Oversee the induction / mentoring of new LIFE FS employed advisers with particular emphasis on ensuring the correct CGEAL branch environment is created and that appointments are delivered from adviser start date to ensure new advisers start writing business quickly
  • Ensure time management of the adviser’s dairies to maximise productivity
  • Work with the compliance team to ensure best practice processes are followed and advice is of the highest quality and in line with MAB & FCA guidelines
  • Work with the Chancellors FS account manager & Regional Directors to ensure Branch teams generate required levels of FS first appointments by implementation of correct LIFE FS branch process, performance management process and Broker SLA requirements
  • Drive adviser recruitment activity and attend interviews and recruitment evenings
  • Ensure that LIFE FS have the best coverage of brokers by driving the generation of FS candidates from LIFE FS opportunities and involvement in the recruitment process.
  • Hit personal written business targets until achieving and maintaining a full team of advisers
  • The ideal candidate will have :

  • Previous financial services management experience or a top performing consultant looking for the next step up
  • Previous Mortgage / Protection / Sales experience required
  • A positive and resilient attitude
  • The ability to work to targets
  • Be organised, self-motivated and a team player
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • CEMAP Qualification or equivalent
