The Opportunity

Nuclear Decommissioning

Performance Framework Manager, Multiple locations to include; Barnwood - Gloucester, East Kilbride - Glasgow, Hunterston - North Ayrshire, Heysham - Lancashire, Hartlepool - County Durham or Hinkley B Somerset.

When nuclear stations reach the end of their generating capability they move into the next phase of their lives, which is to remove the fuel and to prepare for decommissioning.

A key opportunity exists for a Performance Framework Manager. This is a highly visible role responsible for establishing and managing performance and incentive framework described in the NLA.

Focus on developing the targets, measuring system and internal reporting. This post is intentionally defined to give it a degree of independence from the cost recovery processes of Nuclear Decommissioning.

The Person

The post holder will be required to manage the Performance and Incentive Framework in accordance with contractual obligations.

Develop the process of setting performance targets, monitor and review performance against the performance targets, prepare detailed evaluation and responses for the performance framework and, establish independent audit of performance framework process and outcome.

Work in close parallel to manage the customer performance forums with the Customer Engagement Manager.

Provide insights and risk analysis against the Performance framework to the wider Nuclear Decommissioning team.

The Skills

Ideal candidates for this role will be well educed with a strong business acumen and, work ethic and, will have worked at Manager or equivalent level previously.

  • Extensive knowledge of the nuclear operating business especially commercial drivers, business opportunities and risks
  • Experience of interacting within senior government relationships
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and measure performance within the BPS scenarios
  • Exceptional communication skills ability to communicate and convey complex information simply at all levels
  • Participant in complex team based commercial negotiations
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills
  • Ability to understand complex models and simplify for reporting purposes
  • Collaborative working behaviours both internally and externally to EDF.
  • Insightful personality sharing a fact-based approach to discussions and decisions.
  • Able to facilitate performance discussions outside their direct team
