The Central Aseptic Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital has a great opportunity to join their enthusiastic, skilled team.

The unit has a Manufacturer's Specials License and supplies aseptic (sterile) products to the Trust, community and other hospitals.

You will work as part of a team providing a variety of support functions to the clean room areas, work within the clean rooms and participate in the manufacture of aseptically prepared products.

Training will be provided by the in-house training team, although knowledge of working in an aseptic unit would be an advantage.

This is a full time position which is 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

You must be reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and possess good communication skills. To work within a cleanroom environment you must be prepared to wear sterile cleanroom clothing, face mask and goggles and adhere to standard operating procedures.

You must be able to undertake local training within the Pharmacy field and NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy services. NVQ Level 2 is desirable, however, not essential as full training will be provided.

Participation in the weekend and Bank holiday rota would be required.
