Our award-winning clients are on the look out for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join one of the largest teams of chartered surveyors in the property sector right in the heart of Manchester.

This is a great opportunity to join a UK top 20 multi-discipline property and construction consultancy.

You will be responsible for advising on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types of residential and commercial property.

Main Duties

  • Provide advice on the design process along with advice on the construction, repair, refurbishment and maintenance of all types of residential and commercial property
  • Perform building and measured surveys
  • Make sure buildings correlate with the latest building regulations and technical standards
  • Writing up specifications, taking particulars on site, obtaining estimates, creating maintenance programmes and administering contracts for maintenance work
  • Evaluate and report on building defects
  • Managing claims and negotiations with loss adjusters leading to the creation of drawings and specifications for remedial work
  • Prepare schedules of dilapidations (land and buildings)
  • Offer advice in connection with planning applications, boundary disputes. appeals, government grants, conducting arbitrations and acting as an expert witness
  • Over seeing building work on site

  • You will be the first point of contact with our prestigious clients so possessing high levels of communication skills and commercial awareness will be crucial in being successful in this role.

    Having excellent written and oral skills along with a high level of intellect will help produce considered and robust reports and recommendations.

    Salary on Offer : £40,000 - £50,000
