Power BI / Azure Architect

Location : Remote Working

Work Pattern : Permanent Full-Time Hire

Clearance : None required, but eligible to be security cleared to SC level

Salary : Up to £80,000 per annum, 15% Bonus and Flexible Benefits (based on level of experience)

We are specialist Data Engineering, Cloud and Analytics consultancy focused on supporting our clients in successfully delivering on their data and digital transformation programmes.

With demand for our services from our clients at an all-time high and continuous growth and success within our market sector, we are embarking on a major recruitment drive and keen to hire a talented Power BI / Azure Architect to join our project delivery team.

The Role

This is a strategic role, working for a high-profile client on a major programme that will run for several years.

Key Responsibilities :

  • You will be reporting to the Programme Architect Lead, working in a mixed team environment
  • You will work collaboratively, both taking responsibility for data processing task to a plan, and reporting progress on a weekly basis
  • You will work on data loading from several sources as well as processing data from measurement instruments and Geospatial data
  • You will work on PowerBI architecture using data from asset management systems
  • You will architect PowerBI reporting solutions within technology on the Azure Cloud technology platform
  • Key Skills

  • 5+ Years of extensive experience in PowerBI architecture for large corporations including data modelling, data integration, data dictionaries, metadata and data quality within architecture
  • Proven experience in the architecture or design of a medium to large scale enterprise deployment of a PowerBI reporting solution
  • Experience building logical data models
  • Experience building physical data models
  • Experience in Metadata modelling
  • Experience in star Schema design and build
  • Experience in report design using PowerBI
  • Although this is not a development role, exposure to the development of :
  • Data sources
  • Data ingestion
  • Data preparation
  • Big data
  • Data warehouse
  • BI semantic models
  • Report design
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and data profiling would be useful
  • Experience working on data solutions within Azure (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse) would be useful
  • Power platform experience would be useful
