We as the Life Sciences Corporate Finance Teamhelp our clients find answers to these questions and help executing thetransactions needed to realise their strategic plans.

We cover the LifeSciences market in three verticals Pharma, Consumer Health and Medtech.

As a CorporateFinance Executive with a focus on the medtech segment you’ll be driving theanalysis and the dialogue with our medtech clients public and privatecompanies and potential investors in the medtech space.

You'll be animportant part of our diversely talented, highly experienced team and work atthe forefront of high-profile transactions.

The Life SciencesTeam is one of the key teams within our EMEIA Corporate Finance practice andworks with key clients throughout EMEIA to develop deep sector insights,generate ideas and successfully execute transactions.

The Life Sciences team is extremelydiverse with our professionals having previous experience in roles includinginvestment bankers, strategy consultants, PhD medical professionals andaccountants.

The team is renowned both internally and externally as marketleading Life Sciences sector advisors with unique insights into the sector anda dense network to C-

suite decision makers at our clients.

Your KeyResponsibilities

As an Executive within the Life Sciences team, your work would be very broad and every project isunique. The services our team provide cover the full suite of corporate financeservices from transaction idea generation to transaction execution, including : commercial structuring, investment appraisal, resolving regulatory issues,tariff structuring, public procurement, lead financial advisory services,funding raising and structuring, M&A sell side and buy side advisory,commercial due diligence, restructuring, government business cases andprivatisations.

You wouldberesponsible for working with dedicated edtech databases and other sources tobuild our market insights in the medtech sector, preparingand using complex financial models, advising on the procurement of projects,including the evaluation of bids and participate in the development andmaintenance of client relationships.

You'll also interact with clients at differentlevels, handling client relationships over different project work and workwith management on primary and secondary financing fortransactions, including strategy, fundraising, acquisitions and disposals of assets.

Skills and Attributes for success

  • Team Player - Working within smallclient-focused teams of 3 to 4 providing financial and commercial advice,technical input and client support.
  • Reporting - Helping with the contractualelements of projects, including the development of contractual documentation wherenecessary.
  • Technical Skills - Preparing and usingcomplex financial models, including undertaking sensitivity / scenario analysis;developing and analysing financial, technical and related data, includingundertaking market research and liaising with other technical, market and legaladvisors where necessary;
  • Time Management - Preparation ofpresentations and pitch / proposal documents and able to support in presentingthese to clients and related parties confidently and articulately;
  • Business Development - Participate inthe development and maintenance of client relationships, including supportingorigination and marketing activities
  • Toqualify for the role you must have

  • Financially and commercially orientatedwith a keen interest in the Life Sciences sector and MedTech in particular.Previous financial experience within thesector is an advantage
  • Educated to degree level and an advancedprofessional qualification preferred, but not mandatory e.g. ACA, CFA, MBA, CA;
  • financial or engineering degree is highly welcome

  • High degree of personal drive andmotivation to succeed.
  • Ability to build effective workingrelationships with individuals, organisations and clients.
  • Demonstrate organisation andself-management skills.
  • 2+ years of professional experience ininvestment banking, strategy consulting, medtech industry, academia ortransaction and advisory services firm
  • Ideallyyou'll also have

  • Business writing skills
  • Strong quantitative and analyticalskills, preferably also with financial modelling skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and totight deadlines.
  • Experience of working with technicaland / or legal advisors
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Committed to business development andable to identify opportunities to deliver the best value.
