Sheridan School offers an integrated programme of education and therapy for young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, compounded by complex disorders including Autism.
Age range for students is from year 4 to year 11 and the school is comprised of Primary, Secondary and ASD provisions.
We currently have a vacancy for a Deputy Head. This post will suit a professional individual who is prepared to work flexibly in a vibrant, caring and supportive educational environment.
The successful candidate will work in close liaison with The Head of School to assist in the education and operational performance of the school, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and ISS standards, quality indicators and inspection report recommendations.
They will ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are fully met and monitored and that learning strategies in place are relevant and best meet the needs of our learners.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of developing strategies for improving progress and achievement across the school.
They will be involved, with the Head of School, in developing the School Development Plan, then taking a strategic role in implementing and taking responsibility for the initiatives identified.
The role will have specific strategic focuses within the school in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum and Personal Development, Behaviour, Nurture and Therapy.
You will benefit from a bespoke induction programme and the support and guidance of your senior colleagues across Priory Education Services.
Applicants must have a formal teaching qualification.
