EPAM is looking to strengthen its Retail and Consumer Products Supply Chain credentials by bringing onboard an experienced Supply Chain professional from an industry or consulting background to build this critical new capability within our large existing Retail and Consumer Products account portfolios.

You will be accountable for the formation and rapid growth of this new capability within EPAM, responsible for ensuring our account managers and sales teams are equipped to help you succeed in existing and new accounts, and for ensuring our delivery practices are prioritising the skills required to deliver supply chain consultancy, systems design and implementation.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the Supply Chain expert for EPAM’s Retail and Consumer Products business units, advising as required on all topics related to Supply Chain
  • Work with business unit leads to create a plan for building a scalable Supply Chain practice
  • Equip account managers and sales teams with the knowledge, materials, advice and support required to enable you to pursue opportunities within Retail and Consumer Products clients and prospects
  • With the support of our sales / pre-sales teams, assess client opportunities, respond to RFP’s, create proposals and presentations, establish relationships with clients and prospective clients, and help to close / sign new deals
  • Shape, scope and price consulting engagements, establish optimal operating models and project team organization, and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
  • Directly build a team of Supply Chain business consultants to deliver consulting engagements
  • Lead key consulting engagements and supervise all other Supply Chain engagements
  • Build a support structure under you as the business grows
  • Work with our Delivery practice to create the Supply Chain systems implementation teams and skills required to ensure supply chain becomes a scalable business line
  • Create meaningful relationships with selected leading supply chain software companies to drive inbound opportunities and increase our ability to execute
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities and challenges in the sectors, markets and geographies in which our clients operate, and offer clarity in how these affect our clients’ businesses and initiatives
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth of Supply Chain activities within our Retail and Consumer Products portfolios
  • Develop effective relationships with key internal executives, BU heads, solution SME’s, and sales and delivery leaders
  • Align with business unit goals and objectives, support company financial goals including revenue and profit targets
  • Requirements

  • Demonstrable broad and deep Supply Chain expertise in Retail and Consumer Products
  • Deep industry experience in supply chain management and leadership positions, or the equivalent from a recognized supply chain consultancy practice
  • Knowledge of Retail and Consumer P roducts business models, the role of supply chain in achieving business strategy, overall business trends in the retail and consumer products sectors
  • Strong problem solver and creative thinking
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with seasoned presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Gravitas and personal credibility with senior supply chain executives
  • Proven ability to manage client consulting engagements under high stress, or the management of supply chain transformation programmes to completion
  • Sound business acumen; commercial and strategic skills; numeric fluency; common sense; negotiation skills; advocate for diversity
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
