About the role
RainbowSports Mind offers members of the LGBTQ+ community who face multiple disadvantages combined with complex mental health problems a program of Sports / Physical Activities such as Walking, Gardening, Table Tennis, Football, Boxing, Dance, Yoga etc.
to help improve social inclusion.
Currently the program is offered remotely via Zoom group meetings, but we are aiming to develop a hybrid program that combines Zoom and in-person activities, when it is safe to do so.
We are looking to offer a volunteering placement to facilitate these sessions to individuals who are members of the LGBTQ+ community and who are interested in sharing their expertise in the above areas and gaining experience working in the mental health environment.
We will ask you for a commitment of at least one full day a week for at least one year (preferably Thursdays.)
Regular supervision as well as training opportunities will be provided.
