POSITION : Competition Litigation Lawyer

SALARY : Competitive

This role is to work within our Competition Litigation team in London.

We are looking for an experienced associate with broad experience to join the team.

You will be working with partners on competition-related disputes including follow-on and standalone claims for damages and commercial and IP disputes with an underlying competition law element.

You will be working for both claimants and defendants but with a slight bias towards the claimant side.

You will have experience at a top-quality practice and excellent academics; as well as a desire to help grow the business.

The role will involve a business development element, helping to identify new cases and assist the partners in getting those cases up and running.

Enthusiasm and drive for this aspect of the role is key.

Experience of working with litigation funding would be an advantage.

Expected skills :

  • Demonstrable significant experience in competition-related disputes.
  • Proven and demonstrable ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
  • Degree from a leading university in a common law jurisdiction
  • Creative thinking, innovation and analytical problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and functions
  • Significant and demonstrable track record of developing senior level client relationships
  • Demonstrable experience of case management and strategy
  • Knowledge of the English civil procedure rules
  • Knowledge of the CAT rules would be beneficial
  • An additional European language would be an asset.
