Main duties include :

To provide day-to-day servicing and administration of clients’ and prospective clients’ insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost-effective manner

To provide broking and administrative services as part of the Scotland Broking team

Giving instructions to insurance providers

Checking policy documents

Diarising and ensuring all o / s correspondence is received on a timely basis

To handle invoicing of premiums

Ensuring all post and diary activity is completed on a daily basis.

To collate and prepare reports

Ensure that premiums are settled in accordance with company credit control procedures.

Training

As a Trainee you will be supported throughout with additional training given as required. You will be expected to undertake training in line with the agreed objectives and keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments via use of e-learning, internal training and reading market related material.

You will need to be pro-active in driving your own development, you will be required to do some personal study in addition to the study time provided via the apprenticeship.

You will be expected to undertake the industry accredited examinations (CII) and will attend Towergate sponsored courses as well as on-going desk-based training.

At the end of a successful apprenticeship the candidate will be offered the opportunity to progress within the company. A number of progression opportunities may be available.
