We are looking for Maintenance Technician to join the Powertrain Engineering team located at our Engineering Centre in Coventry.
The Maintenance Technician will look after routine servicing and maintenance of various equipment within the Test Facilities located in our Engineering Centre.
This will involve completing maintenance tasks as per the existing defined schedule, plus liaison with other staff, other departments and external service providers where the maintenance is outsourced.
Additionally, work will be required on other topics to perform non-routine fault and repair finding in the event of any breakdowns and to support continuous improvement projects and upgrade activities as appropriate.
Supporting administration work will also be required, e.g. maintaining schedules, records and reports, plus liaising with / managing suppliers, contractors, and other parties as needed.
Role / Responsibilities
Personnel : no direct reports. Responsible for own workload and activities to ensure completion of agreed tasks.
Resources : to liaise with and / or select suppliers and raise POs as needed for parts & services. Budget to be managed by Test Facilities Manager.
To liaise with suppliers as needed, under the direction of the Test Facilities Manager.
Planning : Short term planning and control of day to day workload, to ensure completion of all agreed work to time and quality targets.
Decisions : Day to day decision making regarding workload and priorities.
Administration : Creating and updating reports, schedules, and records as appropriate. Communication with and control of suppliers and contractors.
Education / Qualifications :
Time served apprenticeship in relevant subject; BTEC Level 3 Engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
