In the role of Supplier Assurance Manager you are responsible for providing assurance against the Procurement & Supplier Management (P&SM) Policy and Framework and makes control recommendations where necessary.

The execution of Supplier Assurance thematic and targeted review activity vs. P&SM policy and framework, including the timely delivery of assurance business control testing.

This includes opining on control design adequacy and assessing control operational effectiveness. Define the purpose of control validation via site visits / Supplier Manager effectiveness, write Terms of References, and report findings / risks / issues / control failures to Supplier Managers, Director of Procurement & Supplier Management, Head of Central Supplier Management and the Executive where appropriate.

When appropriate attend site visits to suppliers to provide assurance outside of SME responsibilities. Create and own a risk / cyclical based plan of assurance activity in order to validate the operational effectiveness of supplier controls via supplier site visits.

Syndicate the assurance plan with wider stakeholders including, but not limited to : Procurement, Central Supplier Management, Supplier Management Representatives, Risk and Internal Audit.

Assist with the creation and on-going maintenance of a Supplier Assurance Operating Model, and a Supplier Assurance Framework, alongside the Supplier Assurance Methodology.

Support Lead Supplier Assurance Manager with other work as assigned. Excellent knowledge of Procurement & Supplier Management.

Proficient in Risk Management & Control Adequacy & Effectiveness in a Regulated environment. Good working knowledge of Risk Identification and Assessment processes.
