Put simply, our designs are what makes the world work. Your role within the organisation will allow you to work for specific Enterprise and Global Services customers, many of whom are household names and make a difference to their business / organisation as well as BTs.
Responsible for designing technical solutions for small Global Services and Enterprise customers or designing elements within a larger solution.
Responsible for the delivery of small work packages, ensuring delivery to agreed time, cost and quality. Must have product knowledge or technical skills in at least one of the key skills areas listed below.
Contributing to transformational activities and adopting new ways of working within work packages. Responsible for managing the relationship with end customers, Client Service Directors and Project Delivery communities for work within their Work Package.
What you'll be doing
Monitor the delivery of the work-package in the manner detailed in the work package definition document
During delivery of the work-package track progress to plan of deliverables (MONITOR). They will also actively manage appropriate issues, assumptions and dependencies with other team members where necessary.
Close the work-package following the delivery of the products and will produce a (template) closure report for the PDD.
Decide on proposed design / design testing scope of a network feature / component for senior network designer approval.
Decide on recommendation of network model for design testing.
Design recommendations for senior network designer approval.

Genesys Framework, eService
Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Cisco Unified Contact Centre Enterprise
Cisco Customer Voice Portal (CVP)
SIP Protocol and domestic and global SIP products
SBCs Acme / Oracle, Genband / Ribbon, Audiocodes
Voice Recording platforms (Verint / BT Optimise)
Speech Analytics, Biometric
Knowledge and skills of major technologies in Contact Centre environments such as TDM, ISDN, Voice Gateways, Codecs, Voice XML
IT infrastructure (WAN / LAN, server, storage, virtualisation, cloud technologies)
Voice Application Development
Real-time and historic Reporting
Software development / scripting (We use Java for IVR application development but any development / scripting / automation experience would be beneficial)
Communication skills able to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
