Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :
Overall accountability for all ESN test assurance activities against the contractual deliverables (this includes System & Integration Test, Performance Test, OAT, NATS and UAT)
Mentoring and supporting the ESN Test Management teams to ensure implementation of test approach, principles and test methodologies as defined in Programme Test Strategy
Drive culture change to Automation and Agile Test Delivery.
Proactively manage and drive test efficiencies in resource planning and utilization against all test activities.
Line Management of all assigned test resource
Guide the test management team to ensure delivery of all planned test activities against the plan.
Collaboratively working with Customer and Partner test leads.
Ensuring management of RAID process for all test activities.
Interfacing with the Customer, Partners, Suppliers, Other ESN Suppliers, Internal Work Stream Project Managers and other stakeholders on activities relating to the Test Programme.
Assisting with identification of dependencies and inputs from other work streams and tracking progress of related activities feeding into Testing.
Supporting the Issue Management Process.
Tracking of Test Programme deliverables and ensure timely submission of documentation and reporting deliverables.
Support the Change Control process.
Work with Test Management team to identify and plan system and people resources for Test activities.
Maintaining linkages to the wider Programme plan including tracking all test dependencies required to ensure on timely delivery of test.
Ensuring any risks / issues have mitigation plans in place.
Reporting Relationships :
Line management of this role will be into ESN Programme Director, but this role will also work closely with ESN Management team as well as other functional leads in the project team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience :
Pro-active, with a hands-on’, can do approach’.
An excellent communicator with a natural ability to engage multiple parties within a complex stakeholder community.
Pragmatic and able to find alternative strategies when the conventional / planned approach fails.
A degree (preferably in an Engineering related subject) or equivalent
Extensive experience in an external customer facing Project Management.
Drive to proactively anticipate, manage and monitor issues.
Successful at developing and managing relationships with peers and supervisors.
Experienced in working to ISO Quality Standards.
Good understanding of test stages and related activities required during systems integration of large communication or IT systems.
Experience in both waterfall and agile based approaches to systems development & test.
Experience in delivery of projects into public sector clients / Government contracts.
An understanding of Public Safety Communication System requirements.
