Ground Crew Operator 9 month fixed term contract
Weare currently recruiting for a Ground Crew Operator to work within CorporateAir Travel at Warton. BAE Systems (Corporate Air Travel) Ltd providesinternal air travel and freight services to BAE Systems with scheduled servicesoperating from Warton to Farnborough, Munich, RAF Coningsby, RAF Marham andSaudi Arabia.
In support of the operation CAT has a small, dedicated andflexible team of Ground Handlers covering the hours of operation through anearly and late shift arrangement with planned overtime.
Your main responsibilities as a Ground CrewOperator will involve :
Extensive cleaning of the aeroplane, both internally and externally (this makes up approximately 50% of the role)
Supporting the Safety Culture Aircraft water & toilet servicing Marshalling and ground handing Transportation of Air Crew Aircraft Towing Ground Power Unit and Ground Equipment towing Baggage and Freight handling
Driving a range of vehicles including tugs, vans and specialised catering and baggage handling vehicles
Loading / unloading catering and cargo Aircraft interior and exterior cleaning Aircraft De-icing Working at heights Use of Mobile Elevated Working Platforms Ground equipment monitoring, maintenance & inspection Handling of Dangerous Goods Carrying out daily vehicle inspections Your skills and qualifications :
Previousexperience in aircraft marshalling, baggage loading, freight loading, aircraftdispatching, aircraft servicing (cleaning the interior and exterior of theaircraft, including toilets)
Previousexperience of working on an aircraft flight line
Holderof an airside driving permit (desirable)
Previousexperience of Manual handling, baggage and freight handling, steps andground equipment
Willingto work outdoors in all weathers
Experienceof working on elevated mobile platforms and willing to work at heights
Holda current UK driving licence
Holda current Fork Lift licence (desirable)
Computerliterate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)

Workingin a small team with a high focus on safety, you will have excellentcommunication and team working skills. The role is predominately basedoutside so you must be comfortable working in all weathers.
Location : Warton Salary : £27,157 plus shift pay
