ExxonMobil Engineering Europe Ltd. (EMEEL) are currently seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team based in Fawley, Hampshire and provide engineering technical support and expertise to the ExxonMobil Refineries, Chemical Plants and Terminal Facilities;
predominantly in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Job Role Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include :
Providing civil / structural engineering consulting to refinery and chemical plant operations, maintenance and technical organizations.
Conducting on site surveys and structural condition assessments of existing facilities e.g. deterioration of existing structures, damage assessments & incident investigations.
Assisting facilities with risk management activities
Assisting projects in meeting safety, environmental and capital cost objectives.
Providing technical support throughout the development phase of projects from conceptual to final design / execution.
Developing scope of work for conceptual studies, develop technical specifications, assist in contractor selection, and steward contractor'
s work throughout project execution.
Participating in the development of company and industry standards.
Interpreting and explaining company practices / industry standards and how they apply to plant facilities and projects.
Providing effective interface with business units, regulatory agencies, and industry organisations.
Expected Level of Proficiency
To be eligible for this role, you must :
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent subject)
Have proven experience in the following civil technology areas :
Structural Design and Analysis of concrete and steel plant structures / buildings
Structural Inspection, Evaluation, Rehabilitation and Upgrading
Blast Resistant Design
Foundations and pilings for equipment, structures and tanks
Dynamic analysis of rotating equipment foundations and structures
Earthwork, paving and roadways
Sewer / Drainage Design
Possess the ability to evaluate different conceptual designs
Be familiar with structural analysis and design software.
Be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally
Ideally candidates will :
Have experience within an operating company, or major engineering contractor (petrochemical or other heavy industry experience)
Hold an MSc in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent subject)
Be, or be working towards being, a Chartered Engineer, as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent.
