    There are two key elements to this role. The first is to support the Head of global communications in the execution of PR communications activity.

    The second is to support (when required) the Internal Communications agenda for Aegon AM. This will involve the production of reports and other written communications in a clear, concise and readable form for use in internal communications.

    This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

    Press Relations

    Support the Head of global communications in the delivery of the Aegon AM PR and Press Plan in support of our corporate objectives and business plansIn conjunction with the Head global communications, develop and manage PR plans to complement sales plans.

    Be proactive in improving and building relationships with media, both Wholesale and Institutional.Take responsibility for article writing, generating relevant story ideas.

    Maintain and develop press evaluation systems.Build appropriate linkages with AEGON Group in press relations.

    Internal Communications

    In conjunction with Head of global communications, liaise with colleagues to develop and implement an appropriate framework for internal communications.

    This will involve seeking input and engagement from across the business.Build appropriate linkages with Global Communications in internal communications team.

    Engage widely across the business to ensure communications for internal and external audiences reflect our corporate message and investment strategy.

    Generate appropriate and relevant story ideas for use across business.Proactively engage with fund managers, through regular attendance at strategy meetings and more informal communications.

    Ensure all stories reflect current investment strategy and support wider business goals

    Responsible for compliance with the regulatory and legislative regime as it impacts your role and for ensuring that risks are identified, reported and managed accordingly.

    Contribute to ensuring that the Aegon AM domain consistently applies the principles of TCF, demonstrating with words and actions that the client perspective is always considered in decision making.

    In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by his / her manager from time to time so long as such duties are within the scope and ability of the job holder.
