About the Role
Your impact as a Broker :
Core functional activity :
Initial engagement with clients and or Aon network offices
Efficient and accurate exchange of confidentiality agreements, hold harmless letters and engagement letters with clients, insurers and advisers
Reviewing transaction documents and due diligence materials in order to create market submissions
Presenting insurer terms to clients and or Aon network offices via compelling and well written reports
Assisting senior brokers to negotiate and agree detailed policy terms and conditions
Securing cover confirmation from primary and excess insurers (Firm Order and Follow market broking)
Send cover confirmation to client and or Aon network office
Review draft and final insurance contracts as necessary
Firm Order broking
File maintenance and processing including full use of all Aon internal systems as required
Secondary functional activity :
Client relationship management (direct clients and / or network)
Occasional functional activity :
Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients
Establish and manage pipeline
Produce and / or deliver tenders
Lead quote broking
Market relationship management
Define marketing strategy (specific to placement)
SPS design / placement
Create BID documentation if required
Provide technical wording advice to client / network
Provide technical training / guidance to colleagues
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
Your knowledge and expertise :
Educated to degree level ideally with a legal or financial background
Interest in M&A
Attention to detail and relentless focus on client service
Willingness to work to M&A deadlines and hours
Ability to interpret and use data effectively
Sound technical insurance knowledge
Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
Good problem solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
Good level of numeracy

Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
Ability to work well as part of a team
