Kier Housing maintenance are recruiting for a Pre Inspection Surveyor Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of the fire safety remedial programme to a high standard by budgeting and programming
Complete pre-inspections on 100% of all actions identified by the Client.
Complete specifications for to work required and work with Contract designated Quantity Surveyor to make sure works are costly correctly and in a timely manner.
Run daily reports to identify quotes approved by the Client.
Post inspect work to ensure it has been completed as per specification
Plan and prioritise workload to achieve service delivery
To be responsible for the quote approval process
Attendance at monthly meetings with both senior management and client
Ensure all monthly reports and forms are completed and forwarded to appropriate departments and clients
Responsible for developing client relationships to ensure retention of contract and future opportunities
Ensure clear communication with workforce, customers, line management, office support staff, subcontractors and third party suppliers
Provide technical and admin support to the client and support staff
Responsible for delivery of services in line with contract KPI’s / SLA’s
Responsible for the undertaking of quality assurance inspections on a predetermined amount of all works delivered and record
Responsibility to supply additional / remedial works as required in an efficient, profitable and safe manner
Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation to ensure the rectification of such issues is completed to a satisfactory standard in the quickest time possible by collaborative working with the Operational Managers and Client.
Manage designated projects to meet company and Client, emphasising customer care and business excellence
Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, to budget and achieve the highest
levels of customer satisfaction
Make sure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures.
Monitoring and communicating contract financial performance and administration
Support the Contract Manager and Assistant Contract Manager in overseeing the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors and supplier in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs
Act as a point of contact, managing relationships with all stakeholders, consultants and service providers
Implement and comply with Kier's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within Kier
Key Skills and Qualifications :
Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
Minimum of HNC / HND in an engineering related discipline required
Enhanced CRB clearance
Relevant industry qualifications or equivalent UK standard
Good communicator, verbally and written, and have a good level of computer literacy
Managing ISOH Certificate
Knowledge of working at height / IPAF / PASMA
Knowledge of statuary requirements and current legislation
Substantial practical experience
Have an in-depth knowledge and experience in building services, statuary regulations and compliance
Asbestos P402 / P405 / P406.
Fire Safety related qualification, preferably IFSM approved or equivalent.
