What We Need

We are actively seeking a Programme Manager to be based in our Farringdon, London Office

Johnson Matthey is actively investing in its cyber security capability and underpinning infrastructure through a multi year Cyber Security & Infrastructure Improvement Programme (CSIIP).

The Programme is split into 2 sub Programmes of work and further structured into a number of delivery workstreams, each of which is tasked to deliver a portfolio of projects.

Team Leadership

Carry out leadership functions including :

Inspires, motivates and develops a high performing team.

Role models the Johnson Matthey values and principles.

  • Demonstrates a flexible leadership style to engage diverse teams of employees and third parties across multiple sites.
  • Programme delivery

    Build and lead the allocated delivery programme in successfully scoping, planning, designing and implementing programme deliverables

    Report and communicate delivery Programme status, progress and issues to the Programme Director.

    Drive the identification of detailed business requirements during shaping’

    Manage key issues, risks and dependencies, escalating to the Programme Director where necessary.

    Build, develop and own the delivery programme project plan, in accordance with the Programme Management Plan and maintaining overall accountability for its delivery through its lifetime.

    This includes ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness of deliverables.It also includes detailed cut-over planning, working within strict Go-live protocols

    Working with PMO, ensure that all programme documentation is written, fit for purpose and maintained.

    Report and communicate delivery programme overall status, progress and issues to the Programme Director / PMO on a weekly basis

  • Overall management and responsibility of the delivery programme budget, cost control and delegated authorities, reporting potential material variances to the Programme Director before expenditure
  • Implementation, Knowledge Transfer and communication

    Make sure that all solutions implemented in to BAU and transition with clear support model in place including process hand books and training where necessary.

    Support service through warranty period of solutions as appropriate

  • Working with key stakeholders across the business ensure strong engagement to the programme and workstreams and make sure that any issues are quickly resolved.
  • Financial management

    Overall management and responsibility of the delivery programme budget, cost control and delegated authorities, reporting potential material variances to the Programme Director before expenditure.

  • Deliver the financial and non- financial benefits detailed in the programme management plan
  • Are you the ideal candidate?

    You will have :

    Experience of managing a large portfolio of projects, project managers and project teams within the Infrastructure and / or Security domains

    Experience of managing programme financials and realising benefits to business areas

    Experience of implementing multi-divisional, multi-regional projects and programmes

    Experience of delivering IT infrastructure and / or Security improvement programmes

    Strong people influencing skills

    Ability to set up new processes and methods to support the management of IT

    Matrix management across complex organisational structures
