The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG is looking for a Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Senior Functional Consultant with experience across all phases of Dynamics 365 BC projects.

With a hands-on approach and solid understanding of common business process and procedures combined with knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products.

A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients and project teams working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams.

This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around Dynamics BC functionality and the wider Microsoft platform.

You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst coaching more junior staff.

This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions’ customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC solutions.

Delivery of end-to-end implementations across all phases of project life cycle including design, configuration, testing, training, go-live, post go-live support & reporting

Demonstrate excellent consulting skills, including analytical knowhow, written & verbal communication & team participation

Work with engagement team and client to gather and document functional requirements, complete gap / fit analysis and determine expectations.

Support the delivery team during design sessions

to produce solution design and integration design documents, alongside development teams

Support the delivery team to comprehend business problems, develop solutions & implement through in-platform configuration

Perform system and functional testing for projects as required including client support through UAT.

Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues

Provide on-site support and assistance throughout delivery and go-live phases of project

Demonstrate knowledge of scope creep and use of change control

Involvement in pre-sales activities including responding to RFPs and RFQs and client presentations / demonstrations

Provides input to solving complex problems with creative solutions

Awareness around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities

Have awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365BC

Partake in practice development activities

Promotes the Values of our company

Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors

Represent KPMG MBS in a professional and positive manner at all times


Qualifications and Skills

Experience in consulting and very good presentation skills

Ability to lead meetings and workshop, and confidently present and provide functional recommendations to clients at all levels including the C-Suite

Proven experience working with Dynamics NAV 2013 / D365 BC

Experience in all phases of full project life cycle, some project management experience is considered an asset.

Ability to gather, analyse and document client requirements to pass on to technical team(s).

Demonstrable implementation experience in one or more of the following D365 BC functional modules and areas

Sales / Purchasing

Warehouse Management & Inventory


LS Retailer implementation experience will be considered an asset

Knowledge of D365 BC interfaces and Integrations

Microsoft Dynamics BC certification, ideally most current version

Good financial awareness and business acumen.

Beneficial to have experience of Azure DevOps

Good MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)

As this role will also involve interaction with foreign clients a good command of spoken and written English is essential.

Awareness of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred
