What’s the Opportunity?

Account Development Manager

In this new role, you will support the customer's transformation by capturing and understanding their ideas and objectives through dialogue and a facilitation processes.

The purpose of this role is to influence, shape and nurture the customer’s ideas into workable and practical solutions. You will then be required to project manage the programmes of work and successfully implement the proposed changes with the customer and Gist

As well as working closely with the customer's supply chain function, the individual will act in a similar capacity within the Gist account, taking a leading role in the definition, documentation and successful completion of change and transformation projects ranging in size, function and complexity.

The purpose of this role;-

  • To develop and maintain a positive & productive relationship within the customers supply chain function and with other key stakeholders in the business
  • Developing an agile approach in leading, shaping and defining, customer work streams and programmes of work
  • Managing the delivery of projects ranging in size and complexity
  • Working in partnership with senior stakeholders to deliver the strategic programme of work for their business
  • Leading the implementation of the customer projects and processes across the UK supply chain function
  • Deliver specific business improvement and transformation relating to Finance Systems, Stock ownership and IT integration
  • What will you need to succeed?


  • A proven track record of successfully delivering change in a 3PL / food service organisation
  • Experience working in the consumables, supply chain & logistics sector
  • Conceptual thinker, can take blue sky ideology to functionality
  • Solutions orientated and detail focussed
  • Excellent Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Diplomatic and effective communicator
  • Experience of stakeholder management and implementing transformation projects
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Project management certification, for example Prince2
  • Desirable

  • Business analysis qualification, for example Lean / Six Sigma
  • Operational experience
  • Solutions design experience
  • Experience of projects involving complex IT changes
  • Commercial awareness of food services industry
  • Change management experience
