The opportunity

We are currently seeking high achieving and motivated Managers, who show strong potential and enthusiasm for growing and developing a consulting career with EY.

You will be working within our Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment Business Transformation team, consulting with our Top Tier Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment clients and working on projects focused on addressing their most significant challenges.

As a member of our Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment Business Transformation practice, you will work as part of our growing team to :

  • Manage the design and delivery of complex operational improvement and business transformation projects, and leading workstreams on engagements for key Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment clients
  • Leverage your own network and relationships to further enhance EY’s reputation in the market
  • Identify opportunities for new business and supporting proposals and bids
  • Manage engagement teams and third parties
  • Monitor EY internal operational activities (chargeability, billing, quality and risk management)
  • Support the growth, skills and diversity of our teams
  • Act as a career counsellor to a small team (1-3 people)
  • Skills and attributes for success

  • Having completed a graduate scheme or structured development programme with a recognised financial services provider
  • Strong track record in project delivery, with an ability to develop and deliver high quality output against project objectives and meet tight deadlines
  • Good understanding of the front and back office functions and processes of Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment firms
  • Excellent client stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships
  • Intellectual strength, curiosity and flexibility to navigate ambiguous client requirements, challenge the status quo, rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into a workable solution
  • Ability to work under limited supervision (self-starter) in unstructured environments
  • Flexibility to travel to, and work in, other locations is essential
  • To qualify for the role you must have (within Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment)

  • Operational improvement experience Experience in the design and development of new operating models including an understanding of how Digital Transformation, and the key applications and technology platforms that underpin this, is affecting Providers, Agents and other market participants within the Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment market
  • Business Transformation experience end-to-end business and technology-driven change through the full lifecycle (discovery, business requirements definition, design and implementation) with an understanding of testing, post go-live support and run
  • Revenue enhancement / distribution strategy experience, including market assessment, opportunity identification, channel dynamics such as digital channels - and business planning
  • A demonstrable understanding of the Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment markets, commercial dynamics and change levers
  • The ambition to build / develop a career in advising Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment clients around operational improvement and revenue enhancement at EY
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Previous experience of working with Life Insurance, Pension and Investment clients in a client facing, transformation or consulting role
  • The drive and commitment to achieving client outcomes with the ability to work under pressure
  • A strong interest and commitment to developing and delivering leading edge solutions to Life Insurance, Pensions and Investment clients
