Finance Business Architecture : a team with extensive experience in delivering the full Finance Business Architecture lifecycle and capability with a range of platforms (SAP S / 4 HANA, Oracle, Workday etc.

We re-imagine and realise the business architecture, which underpins our client’s finance operations of the future.

End-to-end Process Expertise : With our extensive experience in implementing Finance digital solutions to improve clients Finance processes and business, we assist clients to design a finance function that is powered by machines and new models of talent in order to maintain the relevance and competitiveness of Finance.

Project Management, Implementation & Business Adoption : encompasses activities required to managing Finance Transformation projects, implementing and supporting the business adoption.

We help CFOs assess what they need and should be doing today and how to prepare for tomorrow to drive change through their organisation.

Your role

As a Senior Manager within the Transformation Platforms team, you will have responsibility for the following :

  • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving - Make decisions with confidence based on analysis of available information to drive business success
  • Business-Technology Acumen - Articulate an informed opinion on leading edge technologies and how they affect emerging business models in domain area
  • Delivery Excellence - Lead projects and provide strategic direction across the account to deliver a superior client experience by developing the approach to solve complex client issues based and by providing project management expertise including senior stakeholder management
  • Executive Presence - Project confidence, establish credibility with and influence clients at all levels
  • Intrapreneurship - generate innovative ideas and turn them into profitable business opportunities for our clients and the Firm
  • Knows the Business and Sector - Advise the client to make decisions that positively impact return on investment; provides subject matter expertise on sector trends and leading practices
  • Sales and Business Development - Sell potential and current clients on Deloitte’s services and negotiate profitable transactions for the Firm

    Location :

    The role is based in a Deloitte London office, however travel will be required for client based projects. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients.

    We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully, there may be some opportunity for working from home depending on client demands.

    Work pattern :

    This is a Permanent Full time contract opportunity. However, our team members work a variety of agile working patterns. Tell us what arrangement works for you and we will try to accommodate.

    Your professional experience

  • Prior relevant work experience demonstrating extensive Finance Transformation and proven proficiency in finance operating model and service delivery model, financial process design and standardisation, automation and change management
  • Solid experience in leading large and multi-functional teams during design and implementation. Fluency in defining and implementing Finance Transformation and Systems Implementation, Finance Function Strategy, building implementation Roadmap and Business case, Designing and Implementing Finance Operating model and its Services Catalogue, Governance, Enabling Technologies & Operational Support Processes.
  • Fluency in end-to-end process optimisation levers across Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash and Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting processes.
  • Background in Finance technology with experience in Finance system implementation for major vendors (Oracle, SAP, IBM etc.
  • having worked with Lean / Agile implementation methodologies

  • Fluency in coordinating communicating and working between the Finance and the Technical IT Teams
  • Knowledge of industry and technology trends impacting Finance functions
  • Experience of working with a CFOs, C-Level and Finance Leadership assisting them, building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and work effectively in multi-functional working teams in multi-stream programme managing diversity and providing mentorship and support to ensure team’s continuous development
  • Ability to contribute to the practice development with publications, approach, toolkits, benchmarks, position papers, studies, insights
  • Travel mobility
  • Desirable skills

  • Experience working in Data Architecture, ETL development, and Data Warehousing across Finance and Accounting processes
  • Holds skills and / or proficiency in the following : SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL, Tableau, Python, VBA, Outsystems, QlikView and ACL and other similar tools
  • Finance professional qualification such as (but not limited to) : ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Graduated in one of the STEM disciplines such as (but not limited to) : Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics
