  • Ownership and drive improvements in the financial control environment including the integrity of financial processes, balance sheet and cash flow management
  • Close liaison is also required with the central finance team and wider Road Operations finance team to always consider the bigger picture
  • Salary : £40,000


    Start date : Ideally May.

  • As the Finance Business Partner you are responsible for the financial management of the Road Operations Supply & Support P&L (c.

    £47m) including the delivery of trading results, reporting, forecasting, decision support and overall product consolidation.

  • Drive and manage change
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) with experience gained in similar working environment
  • Provision of decision support and business partnering to Senior Managers / Directors and business teams
  • Be prepared to challenge and influence the operational management team balanced with building strong professional working relationships with key operational stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Excellent communications skills at all levels of the business ability to explain complex financial information in non-finance terms
  • Ownership of all forecasting and budgeting for profit group (BAU plus continuous development to improve speed, accuracy & insight)
  • Eye for detail willing to ensure information has integrity and is robust and controlled
  • Strong decision support skills and experience
  • Ownership of the month end journals, management accounts and balance sheet for Road Operations Supply and Support. Striving for accuracy and timely completion alongside providing insight into the month end results.
  • Management of conflicting demands across a number of different areas and prioritise own time
  • Proactively assess and challenge performance to provide financial insight to optimise performance and investment decisions
