Job Description Renishaw’s Machine Tool Product Division (MPD) requires a Process Development Engineer to join its multidisciplinary Test Rig Development Team.
You will work as part of a focussed, multi-disciplinary team to design, prototype, analyse and implement test solutions for our production & customer service centres throughout the world.
Responsibilities Development of innovative test systems for new and established products, managing projects from requirement capture to deployment.
Work with design owners to understand product behaviour and develop test solutions that ensure excellent product quality for our customers.
Liaise with production and service environments to understand their unique requirements and produce locally flexible, yet consistent test platforms.
Produce concise technical documentation which allows successful support throughout the life of the equipment. Key Requirements A degree in mechanical, electronic engineering or similar.
Other relevant qualifications may be considered should they be accompanied by the appropriate experience. A working knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW coding platform.
A strong aptitude for fault finding, debug and problem solving with a key focus on timescales. The ability to communicate clearly and directly with a variety of different people worldwide and manage projects effectively from conception to completion.
Desirable Requirements A practical appreciation of electronics and / or mechanical engineering. Experience with National Instruments embedded hardware (cRIO, sbRIO, PXI, FPGA).
Experience with other system control platforms, such as PLC. Understanding of SQL database systems Person Specification The successful applicant will be a keen and enthusiastic individual, who is organised and has an excellent eye for detail.
