LTI Technician :
37 hours per week, fixed term until 31st July 2021
The University ofGloucestershire is looking to appoint a First Line IT Technician within its Library,Technology & Information Service (LTI) department.
The LTITechnician post is a member of the IT Operations Team, providing a technicalresolution service for any IT query escalated from our Servicedesk team.
It isimperative that you have good technical knowledge of PC and Machardware / software to be successful in this position, along with a workingknowledge of mobile phone technology, basic networking, Wi-Fi connectivity andaudio-visual equipment.
The successfulcandidate will have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work as partof a team.
They will need to possess good interpersonal skills and the abilityto work using their own initiative. A degree of flexibility to meet theoccasional demand to cover an event during evening or weekend hours along withworking at all University campuses is required.
This is a fixed termopportunity until 31st July 2021 and the postholder will be heavilyinvolved with supporting the staff, students and technology of the Universityin delivering online / blended learning teaching & support activities.
Experience oftroubleshooting IT problems in a similar customer-facing role would bebeneficial.
