Overview of post The Automotive Department is looking for an inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teacher to deliver on a range of automotive programmes.
The role involves teaching, learning and assessment on a range of body and paint study programmes and could include Level 1 to Level 3.
You should be an excellent teacher and would have responsibility for preparation of high quality lesson documentation and resources and would be expected to share best practice and resources with all staff in the department.
You need to ensure all learners are supported throughout the learner journey including the provision of exceptional advice and guidance, thorough initial assessment, outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and the provision of 1 : 1 reviews and individualised support.
The successful candidate will work with the curriculum team and curriculum leader to ensure appropriate support and monitoring processes are implemented to maximise outcomes for all learners including attendance, retention, achievement and positive destination.
Excellent communication and ICT skills, be highly organised with excellent time management skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines are an essential requirement for this post.
You will have a strong work ethic and will share best practice with members of your team, be enthusiastic and flexible in your approach with a 'can-do' will-do' attitude and hold a related degree level / vocational qualification in the curriculum area, assessor and verifier qualifications and should have relevant vocational experience in the field.
