TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications.
They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-
determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-
up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Main Responsabilities :
Performs install, maintenance, certification and advanced repair for TE Application Tooling Equipment
Travels domestic and international to perform installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, operator training on basic TE Application Tooling Equipment as described above on-
site at TE customers advised by local AT management.
Analyses and resolves problems on TE equipment and product due to such factors as improper application, poor maintenance and quality control, failed parts etc.
Performs advanced customer training on TE equipment and TE technologies (e.g. Crimp, IDC, FFC etc.) as training in advanced repair on equipment like described above.
Analyses and evaluates warranty problems on customer equipment. Determines if defective and recommends corrective action.
In cases of problems he follow up self-driven to interchange with all involved parties to get the problem fixed on professional level by keeping under consideration that this in line with all TE policies and specs
Support AT sales efforts by close cooperation with the resp. Area Manager to increase TE’s business over all. Promotes AT tooling by making new equipment and service offering recommendations.
Recommends changes to tooling or product designs in order to meet customer’s application or quality requirements.
Takes care of his dedicated customer base and grow sales at customers by proactively offering TE AT Equipment to customers and provide and follows Quotations.
Prepares and submits complete, accurate and timely reports related to shop, service activities, shop and service scheduling and service expenses.
Uses all available communication tools to inform and be informed of all service related activities, issues and events
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and code of ethics
Completely understands the AT service policy and utilizes it to grow service revenue
Performs any supervisory and / or special tasks assigned by management
