Why this role matters
Acting as finance business partner to the Supply Chain operational teams.
Provide clearly presented and accurate financial and analytical support as part of the BT Supply Chain finance team, helping the business unit deliver on their targets, with a clear link between this and BT Supply Chain’s overall financial targets.
Support the budgetary and financial control activities for the business unit.
Develop the role to meet the needs of key stakeholders
What you'll be doing
Drive and challenge the Heads of to create and deliver plans to meet challenging targets. Typically these may include revenue targets / operational budgets / productivity measures / procurement savings targets, etc.
Helps the business to maintain and monitor existing KPIs, and helps to create new measures that best suits the current business requirements.
Contributes to budget / forecasting, and month-end process for key areas of responsibility.
Use analytical tools to be able to link BT Supply Chain financial performance to commercial / operational team performance, and uses these to ensure the BT Supply Chain Leadership team is well informed on how to best support BT Supply Chain to deliver its financial targets.
Provides best in class reporting to each of the business partner areas supported to make their key metrics and financial dashboards readily available, easy to interpret, and robust enough to make decisions from.
Develops relationships across the BT group, particularly within the Ventures business unit to maximise cross-unit opportunities.
We'll also need to see these on your CV
Qualified Accountant or part qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
Experience of producing and explaining complex bespoke commercial models to senior stakeholders within Finance and Operations (to MD / FD level).
Develops and build good relationships with key stakeholders and able to build and maintain trust.
Experience at providing strategic guidance and able to influence and drive change across all levels (GM / FD to grass roots).
Highly numerate with good analytical and commercial understanding.
