  • To review all R&D and Commercial sites to ensure consistent compliance against RB H&S standards and legal compliance
  • Superuser RB H&S IS system for H&S data, audits and incident management
  • Develop strategy and processes to enable assessment of H&S risks and own RB standards (R&D & Office standard)
  • Contribute to key risk reduction initiatives, through programme development, including driving, facility safety, control of contractors and manual handling.
  • Manage the H&S communications plan for R&D and commercial
  • Promotes reporting and reviews all recordable accidents from R&D and commercial to ensure root cause analysis and corrective action plan
  • To produce detailed action plans from audits, visits, setting out prioritised step by step requirements for the site to be compliant with all required controls
  • To conduct follow up visits, as required, to sites identified as High Risk
  • To work with Regional H&S Managers to ensure all actions are fully closed out in line with expectations
  • To review H&S management by all the workforce regarding competency, training and commitment and outline recommendations for improvements
  • To escalate issues / concerns to Regional Directors, SVPs and the RDLT & HRLT
  • Lead relevant H&S corporate annual reporting
  • A fantastic opportunity is available for an Global Health & Safety Compliance Manager to join our Safety, Quality and Compliance team .

    The role will be part of the Global H&S Compliance team and part of the broader global SQRC team. This role will lead the development and consistent implementation of RBs H&S requirements and oversee legal compliance for commercial and R&D sites working closely with the regional H&S managers.

    The H&S Compliance team has been identified by senior leadership as playing an essential role in providing a consistent approach to H&S compliance and in achieving the RB 2020 goal of no fatalities or severe injuries.

    As such this role will have visibility and access to the highest levels of the organisation. The role will report directly to the Global Director H&S Compliance and will continually feed into the responsible Senior Leadership teams (RDLT, HRLT).

    Responsibilities :

  • Is this You?

  • Hold IOSH / NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Considerable experience working in Manufacturing or similar to a senior management position
  • Good understanding of overall HS legislation applicable to a manufacturing site in one or more countries.
  • Experience in auditing, including against OHSAS 18001 management standards
  • Good overall knowledge of safety & Risk (e.g. process safety, LOTO, electrical safety, manual handling, contractor safety, vehicle safety, chemical & hazardous material handling, occupational health, training / coaching etc).
  • Proven experience in manufacturing / FMCG
  • Hold a relevant degree level qualification eg Engineering / Safety Disciplines
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered Status.
  • Be willing to travel up to 50%
