Group 1 Automotive are a growing enterprise, working with numerous prestige and volume brands in the automotive industry.

It is an exciting time to join Group 1 Automotive as we continue to grow from strength to strength and acquire more dealerships around the South East.

We are recruiting for a new Procurement Manager to join our Head Office team based out of our in Maidstone

About our requirement

You will be hands on in nature and have a keen eye for detail. With the ability to negotiate at all levels our new Procurement Manager will support all (Indirect Spend) procurement functions across all brand liaising with Group stakeholders and Purchasing Manager

Key Responsibilities :

Involvement in Tender and Contract preparations

Responsible for negotiating and securing planned maintenance contractor contracts.

Responsible for managing tender process for major redevelopments and new builds

Managing and continuous improvement of procurement processes

Managing the supplier review process and improving supplier performance including streaming certain suppliers where required.

Identifying and proposing alternative sources of supply, championing initiatives in line with overall business objectives.

Monitoring of suppliers / subcontractors performance / output (productivity) against agreed standards, taking remedial action to rectify shortfalls

Purchasing and Production planning, Scheduling and forecasting

Track & report key functional metrics in order to continually improve performance.

Solving potential supply issues and manage these issues to minimise their effect on the overall business.

Managing supplier relationships in relation to blanket order, blanket purchase agreement or call-off orders

Manage multiple Group stakeholders requiring at times travel around the Dealerships
