£27,819 per annum (rising to £29,283 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

We are looking for someone with a passion for making a difference in communities to join our Community Investment team. With an understanding of and compassion for the challenges faced by people experiencing hardship, you will be part of a UK-

wide network, with the opportunity to shape Community Investment across Sanctuary Group, making a difference to the lives of thousands of people.

The role of Community Investment Officer will include :

  • Coordinating the Grand Ideas Fund and ad hoc projects
  • Ensuring all regional programmes and projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements, putting in place accurate contract documentation and ensuring that outcomes and outputs are monitored and achieved
  • Reviewing grant applications from charities and community groups, awarding funding and monitoring the results
  • Providing contract administration for all Community Investment Fund grants and supporting colleagues in key neighbourhoods in England and Scotland
  • Using, developing and maintaining effective communication mediums tools, techniques and channels to promote the team’s activities and projects
  • Skills and experiences :

  • Previous experience working with charities or community groups, or prior experience administering a grant programme is essential
  • Strong communication skills are required, as duties will include writing, presenting, listening and proof reading
  • With the ability to influence and negotiate, you will also be adept at building and maintaining positive and productive relationships
  • Proven experience managing multiple partnerships and projects, with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Demonstrab le experience in bringing new ideas, backed by project management processes
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Line management to other staff
