What you will do

The Sales engineer position is an exciting Sales role that reports directly into the Sales Manager for the UK&I Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) business.

Partnering with the Sales Manager role, this is a contributing role with a dedicated sales target, but works in a team backed by pre-sales engineers, technical support and training resources.

By engaging with consultants, builders and end-users you will promote the products to influence specifications and create demand.

Similarly you will work with existing and identify new system integrator partners to acquire project opportunities, respond to tenders and RFPs.

As a member of the Enterprise team, you will work within a dynamic environment and be key to delivering the sales strategy and quota assigned to your region.

How you will do it

As our Sales Engineer you will be empowered to make decisions and effectively manage key accounts whilst dealing with an element of ambiguity.

You will excel within a commercial environment, leading multiple priorities simultaneously, leaning on your excellent planning, organisation and Sales skills.

A key part of the role is to map the customer network, understand the full organisation and define a tailored account plan.

You will lead and develop relationships. Lead a proactive plan to ensure our customers understand the true value of our integrated solutions provided.

What we look for

  • The successful candidate will have previous HVAC industry experience.
  • Sales experience within the Chiller Market
  • Technical knowledge to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • High level of creation of new accounts and opportunities
  • Experience of the YORK product is helpful but not crucial
  • Strong communicator with a consistent record of developing sales
  • Ability to lead and influence both internal & external partners at all levels
  • Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
