We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and innovative Safeguarding Manager to join the North Yorkshire Police Safeguarding team based in Fulford Road, York.
This is a challenging and rewarding role where you can drive change and engage in the development of multi-agency working relationships.
As a force we are investing significantly in our safeguarding portfolio specifically across Domestic Abuse to deliver a problem-solving approach that is focused at the earliest opportunity for intervention in order to minimise the harm to victims of this abhorrent crime.
This role is focused on delivering the core objective of managing serial perpetrators of domestic abuse designed through DAWSA as the Multi-Agency Tasking and Coordination (MATAC) function.
You will lead a small dedicated team focused on those serial perpetrators of domestic abuse and work as a critical problem solver in this discipline.
You will chair MATAC meetings to ensure that agencies work in partnership to assess and plan a bespoke set of interventions to target serial domestic abuse perpetrators and protect victims.
You will support and develop your team and work within the wider domestic abuse portfolio for North Yorkshire and the City of York.
In addition, you will chair Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) across the force, where high risk cases are discussed, and ensuring effective information sharing to enable appropriate actions to be taken to increase public safety.
You will ensure consistency of service delivery and provide resilience to operational colleagues.
Applicants will require a wealth of experience of working within domestic abuse and managing vulnerability within the multi-agency.
If you have these skills and experience, we would like to hear from you.
