Lead Data Scientist Forecasting - £ Competitive Salary Plus Benefits Gloucestershire- J10253The Lead Data Scientist will lead the development of the forecasting and predictive modelling capability in Analysis and Insights.
You will work collaboratively with the Delivery Manager to deliver forecasting to time, cost and quality. You will have the unique opportunity to lead the development of commercially available innovative forecasting products to time and quality.

Lead the development of forecasting and predictive analytics capability.
Shape and deliver forecasting by working collaboratively with the Analysis and Insights Delivery Manager.
Deliver forecasts and predictive analytics to internal stakeholders.
Lead technical delivery as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Represent the Analysis and Insights business unit at internal and external meetings.
Ensure the technical quality of all forecasting products and outputs.
Undertake continuous improvement of individual products and the product development process.
Be responsible for the quality of all forecasting and predictive modelling outputs and products. Experience & Skills Required
Have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a numerate discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, operational research, data science, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience in building and implementing statistical models
Demonstrable experience in forecasting methodologies.
Possess several years’ experience of using statistical methods, data science, or machine learning in manipulating and analysing large datasets, to create insights and value
Understand the importance of data security and stewardship, use of disclosure controls and implications of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
