Coventry University is seeking an academic for the role of Research Fellow to join the Research Centre for Intelligent Healthcare and, specifically, it's Prototype Design, Testing and Regulation theme.
In line with the theme's primary research, we welcome applications from early career researchers striving to develop researchcareers in the fields of digital healthcare.
The Centre aims to become a globally recognised research centre for pioneering and opinion-setting research in the area of digital healthcare and its contribution to improving communities and enriching and prolonging individual lives.
Our Centre is further strengthened by our links with companies, hospitals and public health bodies through our Advisory Board, Honorary Research Fellows and Associates.
We also have a growing team of PhD students who contribute to a thriving research environment.The multidisciplinary vision and team is evidenced through our three core themes within the Centre : Behaviour & Implementation Science, Epidemiology and Prototype Design, Testing &Regulation.
Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral research fellow position to work with Professor Dingchang Zheng at the Centre for Intelligent Healthcare.
The candidate will work collaboratively with national and international colleagues to develop a hearing impairment rehabilitation solution using a novel hearing aid tailored for tonal language speakers, personalised hearing screening, and online therapeutic calibration service.
This role will involve a variety of work in electronic medical device instrumentation, software development, and clinical data collection from patients and volunteers.
The candidate will be travelling to China (Shenzhen City) for collaborative work under the guidance of the PI. The candidate will also be responsible administering the data management and will be asked to attend project meetings and contribute to writing conference and journal papers.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who has a strong interest in healthcare device development with physiological measurement and bio-
signal processing. He / she should possess a PhD degree or an equivalent qualification in biomedical engineering or electronic engineering, or equivalent.
