Here are some things you can expect from this TAS Financial Services Assistant Manager role.

We will trust you with your work and as such we are looking for someone who : possesses good Excel skills and is able to use these to produce financial analysisis comfortable analysing large data setsacknowledges the limitations of own technical expertise and experience and seeks the support of others if necessary
  • Be a part of a team. You will be joining a dedicated financial services team that is growing, we are looking for someone who : works effectively and enthusiastically with all members of the teamthrives in a team environment
  • Take responsibility. You need to be able to take responsibility for : assigned areas in report, ensuring accuracy for all figures in the report.
  • This will involve : communicating clearly and concisely both verbally and in writingmeeting deadlines set for an assignment by managersmaintaining assignment files with direction from internal TAS manualidentifying activities to be undertaken and prioritises accordinglydemonstrating strong financial services technical accounting competenceundertaking other duties to meet the demands of the businessseeks advice on areas of technical research and then undertakes research using the firm portals and databasessupporting associates within the team through coachingTraining / self developmentPreparing your own self appraisals and seek feedback after each assignmentAttending training courses, keeping technical knowledge up-to-date and developing competencies through in-house training opportunities

  • Build your brand. You will be someone who is willing to : support the preparation of proposals, including research on potential clients and target companiesundertake level to level marketing and grow their own personal contact bookshow awareness and understanding of other service lines within the firm, particularly those with a financial services focusnetwork internally and develops personal contactsseek input from managers to develop commercial awareness and understanding of the financial services sector and transactions
  • The minimum criteria

  • ACA / ACCA qualified
  • 2 : 1 honours degree or above (or equivalent)
  • Skills to set you apart

  • Experience of writing reports
  • Good working knowledge of MS Powerpoint, Excel & Word
  • Experience of applying commercial judgement
  • Experience in transactional services functions or accountancy firms or banks (particularly people who have trained in an audit role in an accountancy firm)
  • Experience of financial services is advantageous
