Position : People Partner (Technology & Product) 12 months FTC

Location : Bristol or London

The opportunity

This is a People Partner role covering all aspects of People within the Technology, Product, Delivery and Data client groups based at our London or Bristol office.

Reporting to the Head of People for Technology and leveraging the support of the central People team based in London, you will be required to provide proactive, forward-thinking operational HR service to the business through hands-on’ people management support and advice, maximising all opportunities to improve people, capability and performance.


Support the Head of People to generate solutions for the client group and work in partnership with them to plan and deliver on people initiatives

Build a trusted partner’ relationship with the business management teams and develop and demonstrate an understanding of the technology, product and data business areas, priorities and strategic direction.

Performance Management

  • Promote performance management to leverage improvement in capability and demonstrates a fair and consistent approach to managing performance across all teams;
  • Work with managers to create a positive working culture which improves the team and individual engagement;
  • Support talent management and succession planning activities.

    Talent Acquisition

    Support the coaching and development of line managers to recruit and select the best calibre people

  • Work with hiring managers, Finance and Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective talent focussed hiring within process, budget and headcount;
  • Work with hiring managers to optimise every hiring opportunity to challenge the status quo and job design

    Leverage own network and Bristol job market knowledge and insight to drive the Just Eat employer brand and pipeline early careers and critical roles.

    Culture & Environment

    Working with the employee experience team, cultivate a high performing culture in the Bristol office that increases productivity whilst delivering a compelling employee experience focused on inclusivity and diversity.

    People Operations Delivery

  • Lead and ensure execution of legally compliant, fit for purpose People services and advice to your client group;
  • Work with line managers to develop their capability to deal effectively with employee relation issues

    Support and in some cases directly manage ER cases within business area with the aim to minimise risk and exposure

    Ensure 100% accuracy of all People Data

    Demonstrate how to use People MI to influence decisions and further evolve data as required

    Work with the People Operations to provide a regular and meaningful data dashboard for key business stakeholders.

    Talent Development

    Support the implementation of Talent Development activities with the business areas, working with line manager to develop their capability as required

    Work in partnership with the Talent Development team to support the early careers activities, including the Apprentice and Graduate cohorts hiring and onboarding, their development throughout their rotations and landing in role post programme.

    Pay & Reward

    Advise line managers and apply reward policies across client group to ensure transparency and improve understanding of total reward and benefits package

    Support the annual pay and bonus review by calibrating performance ratings and ensuring the agreed process is followed.

    Required skills and experience

    Demonstrable HR generalist experience of working in a technology focussed, dynamic and e-commerce environment

    Previous HR business partner experience with a proven track record of success and winning stakeholder trust and credibility

    Relevant working knowledge of HR best practice, employment law and policies

    Excellent knowledge of the tech community and employment market, knowing where the opportunities are for the short and long term hiring strategy

    Willingness to travel between London and Bristol

    Customer minded’, focus on delivery and quality of service

    Self-starter, takes initiative and able to work autonomously

    Credible, confident and able to demonstrate the potential to influence and network

    Attention to detail and organisation skills

    Resilient and resourceful with a 'can do' attitude

    High standards of integrity and ethics, ability to maintain professional standards

    Comfortable with change and ambiguity
