This full-time post is available from 1st September 2019 on a fixed term contract to 31st December 2020 within the Clinical Education Research and Development (CEDAR) team.
We anticipate extending the post beyond that point subject to funding.In line with the government's stated priorities (DoH & DoE, 2018) to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the new Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) , Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP)and Wellbeing Practitioners for Children and Young People (WP-
CYP) workforces represent a significant investment towards achieving this. This EMHP / WP-CYP courses are part of the child mental health workforce development to train graduate entry practitioners to the child and young people mental health workforce.
This role represents expansion of the academic team delivering the training due to increased number of trainee places over 2019 / 2020.
delivering a curriculum driven by evidence-based practice. Based within CEDAR at the University of Exeter, the post will include working with Academic and Programme Leads within the / WP-
CYP practitioner teams to ensure the efficient and effective development and delivery of the teaching programmes in accordance with the College's education strategy and implementing the external affairs strategy.
About you You will contribute to stakeholder engagement, needs analysis and evaluation of the EMHP / WP-CYP and related MHST initiatives.
You will have a background in cognitive behavioural therapy for CYP. You will support the student learning experience drawing on your knowledge of education and using a range of approaches and modes of delivery appropriate to the teaching and development of clinical competency within these settings.
In collaboration with the EHMP / WP-CYP Project Lead, the post will involve key stakeholder liaison and operational support with participating partners to support programme implementation.
