Summary of Role :
The Continuing Airworthiness Engineer will report to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager working to complete tasks ensuring the Airworthiness of aircraft under the control of the CAMO is maintained to appropriate Civil and Military standards.
Main Duties :
Their primary responsibility is to ensure the overall management of the Airworthiness of customer’s aircraft iaw the applicable regulations of the state of registration.
Duties will include :
Liaising with customers concerning the accuracy of Technical logs and other related aircraft documentation.
Preparation of bespoke maintenance programmes iaw regulatory requirements and subsequently ensuring compliance.
Reviewing all Airworthiness Directives, Safety Information Bulletins and other publications, for applicability and continued airworthiness impact, and thereafter ensuring they are planned in for embodiment within the applicable time scales.
Reviewing all manufacturer and vendor service bulletins, for applicability and providing recommendations for embodiment to customers.
Tracking and scheduling the maintenance inspections and replacement of service and life limited components using the Electronic Aircraft Records system and providing, in advance maintenance packages to customers and maintenance organisations.
Ensuring all such activities are carried out iaw the regulations of EASA or the applicable competent authority of the aircraft.
Compliance of all maintenance tasks and component replacements on the Electronic Aircraft Records database.
Review of completed maintenance work packs for accuracy and completeness
Recording / Analysis of Aircraft / Fleet defects and presenting them in graphical format for review.
Supporting the CAM with the generation of Airworthiness Related Reports to support regular customer reviews.
Technical records management including the upkeep of Aircraft, Engine, APU and Propeller Log Books.
Being a permanent member of the Airworthiness Review Board, taking and publishing minutes and actions arising.
Be prepared to travel to other UK or International Raytheon Facilities or customer locations, as required
Candidate Requirements : Essential :
Knowledge and experience of EASA Part M subparts G & I.
Awareness of other national airworthiness authorities (MAA, Isle of Man, Bermuda etc.)
Basic knowledge of the various requirements laid down by Airworthiness Authorities and the fundamentals of Aircraft maintenance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, business acumen, assertive at making decisions, working with multi functions in order to achieve personal and departmental goals and objectives.
Knowledge and experience of MAA Regulatory Articles (4000 Series)
Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and statistical analysis software used to generate reports, solve problems and identify / communicate trends.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills a prerequisite.
