General Teaching Assistant

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Harrogate is looking to recruit a qualified General Teaching Assistant to work in our school.

The post would be suitable for a person with recent experience of working with children in school or in child care settings.

  • Required from Monday 3rd September, initially fixed term until 31st August, 2019
  • 32.5 hours per week
  • Salary scale A1 / B1 (8-17) Scale point 10 - £11,497.92 (actual)
  • Term Time Only plus two INSET days
  • NOR : St Joseph’s 200
  • We require Teaching Assistants who are :

  • Caring, patient and intuitive to the needs of the child to enable them to access the curriculum as designated by the teacher.
  • Professional, responsible and aware of the need to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Flexible in approach and willing to help with general classroom activities.
  • Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.
  • Cover lunchtime duty half an hour each day.
