Description : Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner The Murray Surgery in East Kilbride is seeking to appoint a nurse practitioner or advanced nurse practitioner to join their expanding clinical team.
We are aiming to recruit a candidate to work 24 hours per week. Preferably; these hours would be worked over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
We are a forward-thinking, friendly, training and high-achieving practice within East Kilbride. We provide clinical care for 11,000 patients and in addition to routine clinic appointments we participate in extended hours and have responsibility for both a nursing and residential home in the area.
The surgery prides itself on providing high quality clinical care and having a strong teamwork ethic while striving to provide a good work / life balance.
Our practice comprises of 7 GP partners, currently two ST3 GP trainees, 1 ST1 GP trainee, 1 advanced nurse practitioner, 1 practice nurse prescriber, 1 healthcare support worker, 1 phlebotomist and 16 administrative staff.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, reliable and friendly candidate to work alongside our team to continue providing a high standard of care.
Ideally the candidate will have the accredited RCA and advanced nurse practitioner degree or equivalent, including non-medical prescribing, paediatric certificates and minor ailments training.
We will consider applications from a wide range of specialities including accident and emergency, paediatrics, and primary care.
Experience in primary care, telephone triage, minor illness and seeing patients across a wide age range, from paediatric to elderly is desirable but not essential.
We will offer regular GP mentoring sessions with a practice mentor and will support regular clinical supervision in accordance with the NMC revalidation criteria.
An allocation of study leave will be given in addition to annual leave. The proposed start date is late January 2019 but negotiable for the right candidate.
