This role is responsible for maximizing revenue, growth and profitability for the Citizen Identity Solutions Business Unit (CID) and is fully accountable for the P&L of the business.
Citizen Identity Solutions is a global organization with concentration of operations in France, UK, US, Hong Kong and Italy and a total of over 300 employees located around the world and reporting directly or indirectly to the business.
Results are achieved through efforts both within and outside of the incumbent’s control.
Citizen ID Solutions is made up of the former HID Government ID Solutions Business Unit and the recently acquired Arjo Systems business.
The new Citizen ID Solutions Business Unit offers a Government to Citizen Identity portfolio consisting of end-to-end software solutions for Government programs, mobile ID solutions, state-
of-the-art credentials, document components and security features and professional services.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities :
Full ownership of the business P&L and achieving agreed financial goals related to order intake, sales revenue, profitability and working capital requirements.
Develop, communicate and manage to a clear concise strategic plan for the business segment that includes vision, strategic objectives, tactical roadmap and other necessary keys to success for the next planning period.
A key task for the first 12-18 months will be to successfully integrate the HID GovID business and the acquired Arjo Systems business, to maximize the potential of the new combined entity.
Responsible for understanding the market (buyer, customer, end user) and its needs through the necessary means (market research, consumer insights, etc.
on a global basis including vertical, geographic and segment market needs.
Identify market opportunities and generate innovative new products, services & solutions to fulfill anticipated market and customer demand.
Define the BU budget on an annual basis, and provide quarterly forecast updates or as required.
Measure results of the business against budget and growth opportunities and report out to Executive Team on a monthly basis, and HID Global Board as required.
Develop Pricing strategies to maintain and grow contribution margins at the Product & Solution level, to maintain a leadership position in the market, and to protect and grow the HID value proposition for the BU.
Partner with fellow BU Vice Presidents, develop relationships, and share goals and achievements for learning and growth, to further enhance and develop the overall HID Value Proposition.
Partner with the VP Corporate Development and other business leaders to develop the BU in alignment with other BU’s, to identify prospective acquisition targets for growth of the BU, and to further enhance the HID Global eco system.
Build organization bench strength through the development and hiring of talent at all levels of the organization.
Work closely with other support groups to assure support and alignment to the BU strategy.
Take responsibility for cultivating industry level Alliances and Partnerships that ensure the BU obtains necessary visibility, through speaking engagements, association memberships, public relations activities and critical supplier relationships.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 7-10 years of related business management experience at global level
MBA a plus
Significant understanding of and experience managing Government to Citizen ID programs
Excellent communication, analytical and financial skills
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a global team
Ability to think critically and creatively and to contribute in a team environment
Ability to use the internal and external tools to gather and interpret data
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language verbally and in writing.
Ability to speak an additional language a plus
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
International travel required, candidate must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
France, UK, Hong Kong or US (Austin) will be considered based on concentration of current CID operations and HID locations.
