Connect Appointments are now recruiting for experience picker / packers to work in our fantastic clients warehouse based in East Kilbride.
Connect Appointments require experienced warehouse order picker / packers for their prestigious client in East Kilbride.
Experience of working in a fast paced, target driven environment with knowledge in picking systems would be essential.
You will be working as part of the warehouse team.
Picker / Packer Duties and Responsibilities
Pick order and process them by completing any required paperwork, locating items in the warehouse, moving them to the processing and shipping area and scanning their bar code.
Pack orders and prepare them to be shipped. They must inspect the items to ensure that they're not damaged or missing any parts, package them according to specifications and transport them carefully as needed to bring them to shipping facilities.
Maintain warehouse inventory by arranging boxes and making sure they're stored in a way that they won't be damaged, also making sure to track all orders, packaging, and shipping in order to ensure inventory is accurately recorded.
Responsible for maintaining general cleanliness in the warehouse.
Pick / Packer Skills
Detail-oriented problem solving.
Ability to notice defects and errors quickly.
Great communication skills and able to work as a team member
Having basic mathematical abilities
Ability to follow verbal and written communication
Proficient in basic computer applications
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
Previous warehouse experience
Familiarity with shipping software
What to Expect
Hours of work 8 : 30-17 : 00
Ongoing work with the potential to be taken on permanently
Due to the location of the site, own transport will be an advantage.
